Forged metal book with eco-dyed pages. This Coptic-bound book was made from silver-bearing, lead-free solder. The image on the cover of a canoe on a lake was taken from an old post card and rests in an oval frame under resin. There is a small plaque with the book's name - Woodsmoke and Still Water - under resin on the cover as well. The book opens to reveal eight signatures wrapped in *eco-dyed paper. There are 96 pages in total. The stitching was done with both turquoise and chocolate brown waxed linen thread. The book can be securely closed with a leather lace. *The eco-dyed pages were made by extracting the pigment of leaves through boiling and coaxing. It comes in an eco-dyed, hand-stitched wool felt bag.
